it's kinda difficult to cheat in an online game where things are stored on servers rather than the local device so we don't really hear about it happening, not that it's impossible, it is however pretty unlikely, like there's every chance he's just spent a massive amount and gotten all the xp items available

"Hackers" have typically been more exploits with already present mechanics rather than adding things to an account like xp

depending on your rc level just adding a new hero to your box can increase power by quite a bit, since you gain whatever power it is at the rc level, obviously levelling the rc itself or hitting level breakpoints is pretty impactful too
