Frankly the progression reset doesn’t affect a whole lot. Yes, the whales will outpace you at the beginning but once they hit the soft cap then you can catch up with no or minimal spending depending on how good of a F2P you are

Top 50 in DR is easily achievable as a good F2P and the reward differences are really small

Between top 50, top 20, top 10 etc

It tends to be the case that f2p can catch up in games but it's all about how the manufactured roadblocks feel when you come across them

No point being top 20 in a game that is just pure abuse

becuase sometimes people mistakenlu send troops in battles

its not completely intuitive but easy enough to figure out

Though I will say that perfect control and information widens the gap between the top league and the rest. But the game UI should never hold the player back. Balance needs to be done in ways other than causing inconvenience

The top league can just make 4 attacks and stall all the battles and reuse 1 or 2 teams to win every fight having them hop between cities

Can even stall at a defense then at half time take half the troops and send them elsewhere

It should take a minimum of 30 minutes to take a fort regardless of the power gap if the battle is at 50%

There's so much insane stuff you can do if you're the stronger league to just take everything without resistance

the question is what other way should be the real balance, because if every small power can just defensively stall for their battles to be completed and then send their troops in for free and "defend by stall" it'd be quite the boring mode aswell

power inbalance is a thing for sure, but that has mainly to do with inactivie/activity and less with whale teams or other stuff

and I see no way to fix that unless they force people to upgrade their relics before declaring attacks

like to collect your mines you have to 1st upgrade, 2nd declare attack/defenses and so on and then you're allowed to mine

Well it starts with the fact that you can freely leave and join any league. By default you will have one vastly stronger league

The other fact is that you can avoid giving players perfect information and control without the feeling that the UI is holding you back

Like having only one window for reinforcements.

If reinforcements are all locked in and sent out simultaneously then a big league can send troops to the wrong spot. This is evident in how the rainy days are the only days where the top league can lose

The event was announced in news today but was already visible in the event list for days in test Server, starting 2 days after floral gifts-

However, on the live version, there is no golden frontier starting 2 days after floral...and that is the 1st time an event shows/appears at different time frame in both

It would also make barely no sense to release it only on test server because....they normally pay no attention to test server feedback at all
