depending on your insurance big amounts will be paid - had 4 operations so far and didnt have to pay for them

but am hearing that a private insurance has way more benefits in terms of the healthcare

you can use in germany however 116117 / 116117.de and they'll force doctors to take you, if you're unable to find a doctor for yourself, most of the times it'll be even a doctor arround your area that turned you away before... - so yea kinda weirdge imo on that part

(with private insurance doctors will usally accept you without a haggle and give you faster appointments, from what I've heard, but after getting a private insurance you can't get back into the public one easily)
