Classic has far more development, more features, heroes, materials, etc. I find it kind of overwhelming, personally.
Companions has far less heroes and features, but it has some co-op play features that Classic doesn't have. Companions is a bit light on with features, so at times it can be a little boring, but it is in it's early days, and I'm sure the devs will remedy that this year.
There are a lot of other little differences, but it's kind of hard to list all the minor differences.

Probably the most attractive thing about Companions for me is that it's young, so getting in early can set players up really well for the long haul without missing out on lots of resources.

Can't tell without seeing the rest of the heroes you can choose from, but so far the heroes you've chosen to invest into aren't bad, but don't work very well on a team. I'd say a team with Lyca, Mishka and Nevanthi to start out with is hard to mess up, just make sure you're being smart with how you ascend heroes
