Idk much about companions deals tbh, they scam a lot but for beginners you can focus on daimon shemira and mishka, getting 5 ascended wilders as fast as possible is a huge boost for a while

thats what im doing, if the mythic gear isn't the same faction as the hero i plan on keeping it on then i won't upgrade it, may put me at a disadvantage now but you'll get to a point where you have lots of M gear and it won't matter so save yourself the gold for when its needed

Gold isn't the issue, I have over 1b. I do reccomend to put mythic gear and lvl it to max, even if it's not the right faction. You don't know how long it will take to get that specific faction gear, could be months
