The point is to collect a bunch of them and over time swap out the average ones you have equipped on your heroes with really good ones you get through chance.

think of a bad collection like +20SI or e30 engraving, except they’re wayyyy easier to get on all your heroes

Oh! Ok, but multiple heroes cant have the same collection correct? So you have to pick and choose carefully

Each one you build is like its own separate equip. So you can have as many versions of each collection as you can build (limited to 7 per week)

But yeah each specific instance of the collection you make can be equipped to only one hero

So I have three of each ranger collection equipped across 6 heroes, but each of them has different stats because they came from different runs in ghoulish gallery

It's easier to evaluate in NC/TS that doesn't have enrage stacks but also dependant on the hero's own stats & kit (when comparing it to other DPS up stats)
Generically it's a good source of dmg but whether it's "the best" is a lot more individual and complex

For CR the overheating is way too much for me to think about at my lvl of understanding
