the corporate booths should be the same both days (meaning you're probably best going for the first day for those to catch anything that might sell out by Day 2), but the doujinshi booths are linked to different genres of media for Day 1 and Day 2

You can ask: Animate, Melonbooks, Tora no Ana. However some others mentioned in Tokyo it got difficult to get wristbands by now. If you don't find them in the shops, then yeah, go directly to the venue. In the afternoon, most lines should be gone

But I recommend to check out the artists, that will be there on 2nd day. So check the floorplan and the topics of each hall, not that you'll end up disappointed if you don't find, what you want

Giving a few tips for Comiket goers-not in person this year but have done C103 in the past, and C104 online-ish. If you don't care too much about the same stuff the booth give you for being in person (stuff like rakugaki (rough sketches), fans, stickers, etc.), or you just want a book and not a set, it may be better to buy it online from several stores, listed below for Comiket 105 purposes. Keep in mind this depends on the artist's popularity-many of the popular artists (usually wall or door artists with an A or あ) can be found online, but rarer artists can be harder to find.

Now, if you want the set or you wanted the small other items they gave, but you didn't get it, you can still check secondhand stores (which was posted above) or online. The best way I've found for online-secondhand is to use a proxy like Buyee and then search "C105" and maybe the genre that you're looking for. Artist names are usually good too with a "C105" attached to it.

The Mercari link is pretty quiet now, especially since people are still trying to sell wristbands/old Comiket stuff/some listings in advance for things people are trying to get. It gets extremely lively as soon as Comiket starts, and each refresh you do (if you sort by new) will have new people posting new listings of sets or books they just bought. Some of the pictures are literally just someone holding a set to the air to take a picture. They can vary wildly in price so I would be fairly careful with buying a set immediately as new sets may come in later and be lower in price. I imagine it's the same with JDirect/Yahoo Auctions and Rakuten.

Searching Comiket 105, C105, コミックマーケット105, or a bunch of variations help as well.

Some tips for Comiket goers.

The connector from East to West and vice versa is awful and terrible. The traffic there is miserable and you will sometimes take around 15 minutes to swap from the halls. For C103, they had the internal connector for East to West, and you had to take a whole outside detour for West to East. If you can, stay within East or within West/South. Swapping between halls but staying on the East side or the West side is doable. Don't waste precious time swapping directional halls unless you like 15 minutes of traffic.

ATMs (I think they are in the connector between East and West but not sure) are also terrible and miserable. Prepare cash early so you don't waste time waiting for an ATM line when you could be buying doujins.

For wall and shutter booths (usually A or あ), the lines are usually outside unless you're their first customer. If the line looks deceptively short as you enter the hall, the horde of people are usually waiting outside to buy and then the queue will move in blocks.

The lines outside may be cut into different sections. The front and the back of a cut section line may hold up cards denoting the booth number. See where people are lining up for a certain booth number to determine the end, or watch for the end of the line card for the booth. Some booths are nice enough to put their catalog in the end of the line card to see what you want.

If you're waiting in line, see what you want. I would say 97% of booths have catalogs ready for you to look, and the big artists all have catalogs online.

Prepare the cash for the purchase early and don't split if needed. The transaction, if done correctly, can be 10 seconds. 1000 yen and 5000 yen is easier to use than a 10000 yen.

If it's a set, check to see if you have all the components of it before you go too far. If not, talk to the assistants or the artist.

If you want to get a doujin signed/autographed, most artists are willing. Keep in mind large artists may not be able to do so until they are done selling, and some will post on Twitter/X that they're done selling and willing to sign.

Also keep in mind that some artists are not there at the event. It may just be all assistants at the booth. Usually applicable to large artists.

Stay up-to-date on the artist's Twitter/X for relevant information. It could inform you of low quantities, missing items, sold out items, etc. Usually applicable to large artists.

Some artists, as soon as they're done selling, are gone immediately. As the day goes on, you'll see more and more empty tables. Don't try and wait and hope they come back. You can tell fairly easily when the table is empty.

Leaving Comiket sucks. All stations leaving are mad crammed. Some just try to wait it out but you can usually expect an additional 30-45 minutes if you leave with everyone else.
