Ya I’m aware, I understand the risk but that’s why I want to try going with others. It’s much safer. If we go during the day, there’s not much to worry about since there’ll be plenty of others on the route. There’s nothing anyone should be angry about, no one takes responsibility for our decisions except for ourselves.
I hear it’s free if you start from Shizuoka prefecture ( like last year ) …
Are you an experienced climber? Done anything notable in the Alpine? Because if not, you are exactly the problem that has caused a lot of issues on Fuji.
And no, when you fuck it up, you become a burden to all those who have to help.
If you're not trying to start any fights, you're doing a bad job by going, "I know it's not allowed, but I'm special and can do whatever the fuck I want." You are the problem, everyone else has to deal with the repercussions from people like you. If you do it you are an asshole and you do not belong in Japan.
First and foremost: do you have experience climbing tall mountains?
Bullet climbing is not disallowed, but you will get altitude sickness and just be cold and miserable at the top for a long time without anywhere to hide. Huts may be forced to take you in so that you don’t die, that’s why it’s discouraged.
For one, the literal Mt Fuji website: https://www.fujisan-climb.jp/en/b2rg1t0000001c1j-att/BulletClimbing_En.pdf
And here's another one from the mountain huts, in Japanese, https://www.goraikoukan.jp/stop/
2013年6月5日、山梨県知事と静岡県副知事により、観光庁長官へ「弾丸登山の自粛」に関する要望書が提出されました。
Okay yes you're right, it's just strongly discouraged. But it's because of people like this who have no idea what they're even doing.
Good job 🙂
Now teleport them to Annapurna or something like that
Matterhorn would suffice.
