If you're around shibuya "swing shibuya" is a cool jazz Cafe. No live music but the owner is really nice n plays good stuff

If you're on the east side of town id recommend Otis jazz (the owners are friends so it's a similar experience)

Also if you're a whiskey person then jazz cafes are the places to go
