I found a place called Bar Fader that I enjoyed. The English is sparse and me and my friend were the only non-JP in there but if you know some Japanese and love metal music you'll be amongst friends.

The bar was recommended to me from the bartender at Cafe La Siesta in Kyoto who's friends with the bartender there. The Osaka bartender is DJ gomimushi (trashbug) and he's chill. Spent like 3 hours chatting with people in there yesterday.

But I'm also a "skip the last train" kinda guy

Fwiw, I barely speak JP. Like ... Not even all the way through Genki 1 levels. You just have fun and find a way to communicate. i stayed at kawaguchiko hotel which was near the lake and u can also get a view of mt fuji so if you're really into sightseeing and walks i would rec there

it was sooo beautiful because everything was nearby

i also went to the mt fuji panoramic ropeway which is a gud alternative if you're not into hiking and kawaguchiko music forest museum

there is a hiking trail on the panoramic ropeway if u REALLY want to but i think it's a 6 hour roundtrip

I am going to be with mobility limited people, so hiking is probably out of the picture, haha

I heard the lake there is nice, so I was thinking of driving out to it

but didn't really plan much more beyond that yet

the terrain to be honest is not very mobility friendly

I was going to try and see how much stuff there was around there that would be mostly accessible by car and then require minimal walking to get to things from the parking spot/car

there is a parking lot area by the lake

i think it should be ok if you're a little east of the kawaguchiko hotel area i think it was mainly flat near the lake and there's a decent amount of shops there

like u could park there and walk around and food/local stores are relatively close

but the panoramic ropeway is definitely steep and i could see it as difficult for mobility limited people sadly
