For any beer lovers in Kansai, if it is of interest, I'm going to take advantage of the Seishun 18 Ticket (https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2362.html) to do a brewery tour of breweries in remote parts of Kyoto and Fukui some day this weekend. Preliminary itinerary is a brewery in Fukichiyama, then Yosano, then Mihama. I find it a good way to see random towns, take beautiful trains, try new beers, and meet interesting people. I'm a Nara-based American, 35m, speak basic Japanese. DM me if interested!

Hey by the way, I had a fun time there on 8/7. Other than getting yelled at by a few Senior citizens for accidentally swimming on the wrong side of the lane, it was pretty cool. Wish I brought my goggles from home though.
