It was eh. For 20 bucks and getting there at 9am before it becomes hellish busy, it was still worth it. Nobody was really around yet but as I sit infront of the entrance now, hundreds of people are lining up. Some of the tanks were way too small for the creatures. Attraction said it would take 2 hours but I finished in 30 minutes even with stopping at each tank. American ones I have been to have been twice the price though so per dollar it was probably the dame experience level.

I have one last free day tomorrow in Osaka before I go back to Tokyo. Is Hiroshima worth it? I’ve been so tired from walking. Did over 30,000 steps yesterday

I’m in Osaka now and just came from Hiroshima. Hiroshima itself I like but only for the impression of the A bomb museum (very depressing) and dome. I stayed a night on Miyajima and hiked to the top of the mountain. It was rainy though, 144 floors up and 18 km of walking…. My legs hurt.

Hiroshima and miyajima is probably better as an overnight than day trip, but the oysters are amazing and the a bomb dome and memorial museum are definitely worth visitng

Also I’m so happy I got the Disney hotel and I’ve been able to get into the parks early masks life so much easier to ride all the big rides

I hit soaring at Disney sea in the first group of people got off and it was at 150 minute wait time and I was able to get earlier priority passes and such for the other big rides

I don’t blame them, they had it really rough, but you can see they very rapidly rebuilt it in the 50s/60s. You don’t walk through it to look at how pretty it is. But if you’re from the US maybe your perspective is different (I’m from Amsterdam)

Tokyo, Osaka, you walk through and without looking at the map where to go you find area after area of photo worthy spots. Hiroshima is just grey avenues

I think its very doable. I reserved two days because I though I was doing the choichomichi pilgrimage trail. But apparently parts of that are closed off. It seems like alot of people do day trips from osaka.

Sorry. Not sure which channel to ask this in. While I've been here I've withdrawn money at convinece store atms. A small conversion fee and a use fee. However, yesterday morning, I used an atm and there was no conversion fee, just a 200 yen use fee. I tried to research why and cannot find out why. Some atms have different fees with different times, but that seems to be the dependent on the card you use. I'm using a chacles schwab debit card. Any ideas or know the channel I should ask?

Always choose to charge in yen

Always decline conversion

ATMs try to get you to convert with them rather than with your card company/bank

It's basically a way to scam ATM users legally because their exchange rate is ALWAYS shit

The ATMs word this in a number of ways so as to be ambiguous about the fact they are fucking you on conversion rate
