Depends on your definition of omakase, most mid to high-end sushi places will offer an omakase option. 90% of the time you can just walk in and it’ll be fine. If you want to eat at specific high-end restaurants then you’ll need a reservation.

So the thing luggage delivery is that it has its limitations. Either the place you will stay accepts them or will have to pick it up at one of their delivery branches. The latter can be a pain depending on the distance between the branch and your place.

Dormy Inn. They’re a chain and offer unlimited tea , coffee, soft drink, and ice cream as well as a kick ass onsen so I try to stay at one when I visit Japan.
