Hey everybody! Tokyo expatriate of 9 years here, from Canada. My friends and I have organized a bar crawl for 9/2 that includes 5 of our favorite small bars in little Asakusa. If you joined us for our previous excursion on 8/19, you are welcome to join us again. The itinerary will be switched up, so you can see some new places.

This will be my third time holding this event for Japan and Japan Travel Discord members. We had a great turnout last time, so I hope that I can share Asakusa nightlife with you again!

All the small bars/venues we choose have no cover charges and inexpensive drinks. I do not collect any fees or receive compensation for this event. We only ask that you purchase at least one drink at each place, and show patronage to the good people of Asakusa.

You are also welcome to bring any friends or other travelers you have met. We had quite the collection of different people last time, and I am looking forward to hearing stories about your hometown and the places you have been!

When is the start time? I am doing a day trip to Mt Fuji that day, but should be arriving back to Tokyo station just before 7. Also assume the locations will have light food options?

Soft 7PM for start. We will congregate at Smile Bar and Cafe just across the river in Sumida, and depart when most people have arrived.

There are some light food options at all places. If you arrive late, don’t worry. I will check my DMs and this thread to update the current location.

There is an awesome station bento shop near the Tsukuba express line in Asakusa, I'll be sure to point it out.

Updates! Here is the location for our starting point. We will hang out until enough people arrive at Smile Bar and Cafe. Don’t worry if you arrive late. I will be sharing my location, so you can get caught up with the group if you’re behind. I’ve also checked with all other organizers, ensuring that a selection of mocktails and non-alcohol options are available.

Hey everybody! I hope you're all ready for the amazing Asakusa DRINK UP! crawl tonight.
