(the 2009 and the 2012 ones arent safe either their gpus are also evil)

(the 2009 ones have a certain capacitor that requires computer to even boot that fails sometimes)

then the installer basically dd's the image to the partition at install time

so the file system is literally a memory allocator but on the hard drive

there's a list, which has entries that point either to

1. file fragments
2. directory trees

directory trees are literally that

directory trees

they have file descriptors though

these point to the list entries of the first file fragment

the file has the file (duh) area and the fragment descriptor area

the fragment descriptor points to the list entry of the next fragment of the file

you have a directory

in that directory you have 12 byte cards

    0-3 bytes - file size
    4-7 bytes - cluster number
    8-9 bytes - filename offset in fmap
    10 byte - filename length (how much to read from fmap)
    11 byte - attributes (0 - file, 1 - folder. you can add more attributes)
