# winter fjord But with some questionable hacks it may work

i feel the need to point out that that little hack i mentioned here was putting some useless function call in a specific place because otherwise sending commands to the ahci controller wouldn't work for some reason. I just noticed that i didn't zeroed out the command structure so now i don't need weird hacks anymore :)

just finished prototyping USB storage devices, now I can I/O files. Its time to make this bad boy behave also on real hw

#

it's gonna be a hell

#

it was a long run

#

this is the first sector of a usb stick read from a linux machine

#

and this is the output of an acer laptot running my os

#

i'm gonna call it a win

#

i'm not sure about those random FF bytes all around

#

but if you ignore that the data is all there

#

and i'm fine with it for the moment at least

#

it was a long journey but now i can finally say that i can boot and load things from a usb drive on real hw

#

no more flashing to an old hdd with a sata-usb adapter
