#First Awakened King Oneshot: Only Base Game Tiles...

Hi all, title says it all. Bought the complete edition months ago but only installed the base game and played the heck out of it. Today, I activated all DLCs via the store and started an Awakened King oneshot, excited for a run with all the new content.

First side dungeon was Harvester's Reach. Midboss dungeon was Cotton's Kiln. Then I got Tiller's Rest, then Shattered Gallery. Not a single new area so far. Seems more than just unlucky, either a bug or some other weird interaction.

The only thing I can think of is that before doing the Adventure mode oneshot, I did a Boss Rush and encountered some DLC bosses there for the first time. Could that have screwed up my oneshots??

Can't even find other reports of this online. Ugh.

Did you actually do the One Shot?
When you have access to Adventure mode there is Losomn (rolls any of the three storylines) and then there is Awakened King (only rolls Forlorn Coast)
Only your VERY FIRST TIME of rolling Awakened King is the One Shot, after that you’re just forcing the starting location
So for example, as other people have admittedly done, they roll their One Shot on a harder difficulty (only to realize they can’t do it) and then think rolling Awakened King on a lower difficulty will still be the One Shot. That isn’t how it works, it’s strictly only your first time rolling it.

Hey, thanks for answering, @iron steppe. I wish it were the case. This was my very first time rolling Awakened King, and I'm sure I didn't roll Losomn by mistake. 🙁

I also didn't get out and reroll to change difficulty or anything.

AW no longer says One Shot, which would make sense because I'm already in it

I thought this made sense as is because when I launched it, it did say One Shot

The only way to get a new One Shot for AK is make a new character

Or join someone else who is doing theirs ofc

The only thing I can think of that may have had some weird interaction is that in between activating all DLCs in the PS Store and launching the AW One Shot, I did a big boss rush where one of the bosses was the One True King and I beat him

That wouldn’t affect that. As even people that don’t own DLCs can get the DLC bosses during Boss Rush iirc

I can't imagine why that should affect the One Shot Adventure which I launched right after that Boss Rush, hence why I think this is a bug of some sort

iirc you also get the one shot back for doing the campaign deletion from main menu

It’s not to say I haven’t heard of this sort of thing happening before, it’s just that 99% of the time it’s people thinking that any time you roll AK it’s the One Shot, not only the first

not rerolling; going to main menu, 'delete character' then only deleting the campaign
though iirc it also nukes some other stuff? don't remember which ones

It basically just resets everything as if it were a new character, but keeps your inventory and stuff you’ve acquired that’s attached to that character
