when I needed a bit of scrap, I kept reloading a backup of a save right in front of a boss that I could kill easily and fast.
as an alternative without mods.
but I wouldn't recommend it really. rather slow, and probably even more grindy than anything else you could do.

I used Gwendil the Unburnt with a dot build (ritualist/invoker/monolith/nebula), walked under her, popped all my dots, she died in like 10s. logout, restore save file, login, repeat. got like 1-2k scrap per minute or something.

Equip ritualist be under influence of root water have one root water in your hot bar then cast miasma and without letting go of rb R1 spam root water it will go to negative 1 then sell infinitely to mud tooth
