I have the Crop Sample in my Adventure but Duane just keeps saying he's busy. Anyone know what happened?

Things that can prevent him from accepting new items
He isn’t at the stove, he’s sitting in his chair.
He is currently making a different concoction, and needs to finish it first.
The lady across from him is awake and is watching what he adds to the camp food, she needs to be asleep.

So he has to be at the stove, not making something currently, and the lady has to be asleep.

Well it’s not that the game didn’t feel like it, that’s just how it is

#

He can’t add an ingredient or start making a new recipe if he’s taking a break.
He won’t add anything if someone is actively watching him make the camp food.
He doesn’t want to mess up a recipe that he’s currently making by adding something that doesn’t belong.
