When I start the game, from the Xbox application in the Microsoft Store (I have the game through gamepass), a Remnant 2 screen loads and then a full screen of the game appears but in black, and after a minute the game closes without loading absolutely anything, I checked the game files, I have everything updated (windows, video card, applications), everything is up to date, and there are no third-party applications that could interfere with anything

When I start the game, from the Xbox app in the Microsoft Store (I have the game through gamepass), a Remnant 2 screen loads and then a full screen of the game appears but in black, and a minute later the game closes without loading at all nothing, I checked the game files, I have everything updated (windows, video card, applications), everything is up to date, and there are no third party applications that could interfere with anything. I also tried reinstalling the game but it didn't work.
Can you please send over your crash log?
To find crash logs, Press Windows Key and R and paste the following into the field:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Remnant2\Saved\Crashes
once in that folder, zip up your most recent crash and send it to [email protected]
also, what is your cup/gpu?
there are two folders and both have those 2 files, the folders name is "UECC-WinGDK-FD4A1A90434B3455A72308A81287AFED_0000"
not sure what you typed
but what is your cpu/gpu
ryzen 5 5600x and rx 6700 xt 12gb
ok, we'll have a look at the crash and see it there's any info in there
I thank you for the time John
sorry unfortunatly, it's a hardware error. it's an error that we usually only see with intel hardware, very rare, but it happens on amd too
this is the error: LowLevelFatalError [File:C:\Unreal_TC\Engine\Source\Runtime\RenderCore\Private\ShaderCodeArchive.cpp] [Line: 354]
ShaderCodeArchive::DecompressShader(): Could not decompress shader (GetShaderCompressionFormat=Oodle)
it could potentially be hitting a defect in the cpu hardware
the only thing we could say is possibly if it's overclocked, turning down the overclocking could potentially help, however we cannot directly recommend that.
I understand, but it is not overclocked, so what could I do? It seems very strange to me since I was extremely careful when installing the cpu, it seems impossible to me that any pin is damaged or something like that, but I understand that it could be possible
no idea. the error is hardware related, it might have a defect in it, but that's beyond what we can say
Is it possible that the error appears only with this game? because I never had any problem with any other game, it doesn't matter, thanks for the time and information
It's likely going to be an issue with any game using unreal 5
