#Thorn Blowback/Empowered Blowback Issues

I am putting this here as I am not sure if Thorns MOD Deadwood is working correctly. Using Shooting range Center stall or third stall to the right or third stall to the left.

My thorn is +5 with a +10 Extended Mutator, Screen shot is of my equipment if others wish to try testing.

Using Deadwood with my current gear I can fire Three Magazines of 44 rounds by the time Deadwood runs its timer.

Using Deadwood, Firing Non stop allowing the end of the mod to set off explosion did a total of = 9,504

Using Deadwood, Manually triggering explosion after every reload did a total of - 17,413

Not using Deadwood MOD, just firing three magazines gave me a total damage of -14,200

So, with this, I am suggesting that "Reactivating the Mod or Reloading will trigger Empowered Blowback" could be a simple fix for the moment. Until strange reason why shooting all the needles for three magazines straight causing so little damage, be it a coding/bug issue.

I have also heard many comment that the overall damage of the gun compared to many others is lackluster due to auto targeting making weakspot hitting very difficult. Maybe an increase to the base Explosive damage may remedy this issue as well.

@civic shale posted this in suggestions as I had done with my original post

Following up on my friend @white oak post above:
If a dev can confirm one of my conclusions, here is what I've come up with:

Thorn Without Mod

10 * 30 = 300
5 = 100
30 / 5 = 6
6 * 100 = 600
600 * 3 = 1800

Thorn With Mod

1 = 10 now is 1 = 20
30 * 20 = 600
600 * 3 = 1800

So if:

1 = 20
5 = 100
30 = 600

With these equations that currently reflect in game either Empowered Blowback is working as intended (doing the same damage as Blowback) OR there is an error/bug/miscalculation that results in the same damage.

I am not sure if other modifiers are working properly, but from what we can tell, Empowered Blowback is doing equal damage to Blowback.

And somewhere in the shooting of Needles, the game is losing count of the needles or there is a max amount of needles allowed to be placed causing lower damage numbers from continued firing for a big explosion.

pretty sure its because the needles despawn after a while. thats why firing all the mags and waiting for final detonate isnt doing as much as a manual per reload

I tested at each level. When firing and detonating at 1:5:30 stack(s) the numbers remained the same. The numbers are either not following the description or the mod is just intended to give everything but increased damage.

Be nice if that was stated in mod description. Since them despawning is counter intuitive to the mods description making you think the more you put into the enemy the bigger the explosion.

I am pointing this out, what if them despawning like that is not what they intended and it needs to be fixed?

Also that does not explain the Damage variance between Blowback and Empowered Blowback.

At this point, I almost with they allowed us to remove default MODs from special weapons and put in MODs that actually work as support or increase of damage.

I feel that Deadwood is a wasted MOD on Thorn. I feel that way towards most MODs on Special weapons.
