My game also will not launch. Even gave a Steam error. Currently verifying files and will try reinstalling shortly if the former doesn't fix it.

try going to steamapps>common>Remnant2>Remnant2>Binaries and just delete the entire Win64 folder, re validate files on steam to reaquire. fixed it for me
it was because the allow assets mod touched those files
