So you guys might have seen the V1 I did, well it was kind of a test, the design was pretty messy and it was mainly done to test my ability to model the gear mechanism in CAD accurately enough to make it great.
Turned out it was great, the design was in fact like I initially designed it.
As the title said, I am now making a V2, this version should be much better, more sturdy, better feeling and adjustable friction.
Only downward for the moment is that it's a single throttle for the moment and not a dual.

I am still going to use a gear mechanism for this design however for this design the potentiometer will be on the mobile arm. And that arm moves on 2 rails using 2 bearings. I might add a 3rd rail on the other side to make it more stable.

I'm open to any suggestion to improve the design, I'm planning on releasing it when finished.

soo yeah I think I'm basically done here

I might tweak the design a bit so we are able to assemble 2 (or more) throttles together but yeah it's roughly done

I'm also going to design a mount for it, so I can make smth that goes around it

and yeah I have to make the friction adjustment thing too

It may be more stable if each track uses 2 wheels, one in front And one behind the lever.

Try using small rubber wheels. If you look at the winwing f-16 throttle guide, it uses very small wheels to guide the throttle along the rail. You can use this type of wheels in your construction to buffer against imperfections. You also will want to sand down the guided rail itself as smooth as you can to eliminate those imperfections. Alternative to the wheels, you can use a hard rubber strip to sandwich your bearings within the guide rail. This provides both a buffer for the imperfections and allows you to build in some friction. You’d have to experiment with tolerances and rubber strip materials to find a suitable equilibrium
