2010 Nissan Pathfinder SE fuel pump

As of the 26th I acquired this car. Last week I was getting off the highway and had to accelerate from 30mph. As I did so the car cut off for a second and went back to normal as if nothing happened. I brushed it off but today I came up to a stop sign and my car cut completely off. I turned it back on and put it back into drive. Idle was slightly rough but when I drove forward about 2 feet the car cut off again. I waited 5 seconds and turned it back on and it was fine.

I went to oreily as I know good people there and they said it sounds like my fuel pump is going bad. I don't have $300 for a new fuel pump nor do I have $300 to pay someone to diagnose plus parts. Is there anything I can really do to pinpoint that this is the issue so I don't have to pay for diagnostics?

Ball joint or tie rod is going bad
Coolant is leaking

fuel pump testing has to happen in situ with a gauge. you might be able to rent a fuel pressure test kit from the auto parts store to measure if it's dipping out

your car has no fuel pressure sensor to my knowledge. You would have to manually test it by putting a tee + gauge in a fuel line
