Every now and then I get a check engine light on my car and scanned it and popped up as a p0443 knowing it was a purge valve I ordered one and I searched up how to install it but now I’m lost there’s one under the hood and one for the gas tank canister which is what I got. So now I believe I ordered the wrong part and also starting to believe I didn’t even need to order anything at all cause the check engine light comes and goes. Im hearing that a p0443 is cause by the valve under the hood but when I look for the one under the hood for a replacement I can’t find one. Now that I think of it I think i mislead my self and would appreciate if someone leads me to the right direction

The one under the hood is generally referred to as the evap purge valve, and the one for the gas tank is called the evap canister vent valve.
The purge valve is at the back left corner of your intake manifold
Also, you did indeed purchase the wrong part.
