#Mitsubishi Sigma 1993
1 messages Β· Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Will be making it car show worthy or at least try
I love this car not only Design wise but also the name ππππ
A real sigma knows ball
I was close on getting one before i opted our
GG @tawny laurel, you just advanced to level 4! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
out*
A sedan with a wagon front bumper it is
Guy I bought it from has a better version of one
Also he has a lowered galant with a huge spoiler as a daily
That guy is just nuts when it comes to his cars
He also let me know about every minor defect and common issues with mitsubishi
You made a awesome deal on that one
Yep got it for cheap considering how well kept it is
Like it's free of rust
Has some stuff to get to be perfect like some paint that on it, broken windshield AC blower plastic (common issue with those), missing boot cover
its quite a clean car
For how old it is it sure is clean, but still need to clean it some more and fix some smaller stuff
id imagine you would have to do similar maintainence for almost any older car
Well yeah, it's really well kept tho
Will know in like 3 weeks what state the engine is in tho as on the test drive (around 30 miles) it was driving really good so hopefully nothing bad going on just that leaking timing belt sealants or whatever it's called
Bought for 2.5k already put in 1.5k for lorry and parts
Hope I can get it running smooth soon and then save some cash to mint it up before it's (and mine) first car show
4k for a show car sounds good
what the sigma
Will be mostly stock car shows (classic car shows) or slightly modded (small bodykits, slightly lowered etc.)
Plan to make it some sideskirts from scratch or try to fit some from another car to make it flush with front bumper height
Same with the rear bumper
looks cool tho
Cars of the guy I bought it from
From left to right
Sigma (mine)
Galant (his daily) big spoiler, lowered, bodykit?
Sigma (better option than mine and in a better condition overall)
E34 on AC Schnitzer wheels (his friend's brother's that died to cancer last year, he wanted it to be on his funeral looking good, he made it come true, won't ever sell it)
Can't wait till Saturday to work on it
While watching Nightride I got inspired and will most likely paint the underside of my hood similar to this or just a big ass mitsubishi logo
Ppl keep asking if it's a galant or a 7 series
Fr
But like It'd look good wouldn't it?
ye
This is so sigma
Ts is so sigma and tuff
It is a sigma that's tuff
holy brainrot
Fuck you mean unc
elder
Yes
My cars are 22 and 32

Good choice man
im about to
I need to build a 3rd garage that'll actually fit a scissor lift
It's kinda normal that they're taking a while but what happened man?
a semi truck rear ending him while he was riding a bicycle
Oh damn
they totalled my civic
bike hit me
its repairable but its an auto so eh i wont bother
Well it's a civic
yes but i dont have space for a donor to swap
so meh, ill get rid of it and get the mr2
If it wasn't VTEC I wouldn't bother as well
i wanted to swap
Ej1?
ej6
EJs look so good tho
Wanted to buy an ej1 but it's a honda at the end of the day
They are but rust like nothing else
Damn then that would be worth saving
still an auto
i dont want to go trough the hassle of manual swapping
yes
feels so gay driving it lol
it would be cool asf as a manual
not engine
but a donor ej6
and i got no space
haha
and i got no lift
wich would be good for that
Oh
now im giving him the car also for free
but he is giving me 700 for the spoiler and exhaust
Oh yeah I'd need to get a better exhaust for my sigma as well
thats how i got it
To make that V6 sound better
They took my fucking eyes
Someone mistook right front blinker connector with something else and it didn't work
Took me some time to find that correct connector
Some other stuff I found out
Most of the lights didn't work or didn't have a lightbulb
They work now
Hood was painted and someone did a bad job as the hood has orange peel and literally drops of paints or oil from the paint gun
Tachometer doesn't work idk why it gets data from the coil pack idk how to check if it works (ordered a whole new cluster for 25$)
Front speakers didn't work cuz they weren't there
Ordered JBL stage1 52f
Sigma car
Oh and I messaged a guy that has parts for it and turns out it's the previous owner that had it before the guy I bought it from
what the sigma
It's kinda wild how a random guy you message recognises the car by just this photo
I love the sigma car
Probably saw the cracked vent piece
Sigma car on top
Cracked vent, white paint, sedan, poorly wrapped windshield wipers
And on a rare car
Easy to recognise but it's wild how a random guy that has parts is a previous owner
282k you sure? We all know Mileage isnt everything , but especially on Sport Cars itd be careful
Itd need to be maintained really well imo
and considering you get good maintained ones for 10kish with 100-150k km less, itd throttle the price a bit more down tbh
It all depends on how well kept it is and maintained
if its well done / pieces replaced itd go for it nonetheless
yeah no not denying that
like i said, Miles aint always a deal breaker
500k highway miles >>>> 200k city miles
dude its a toyota
280k is nothing
Depends how it was driven
Of it was driven for what it was made (fast) then no problem
thats why i said especially on sport cars itd be careful
when i speak english i refer to miles
lmao
Btw miho in English itd is etc
to be honest an mr2 is a sports car yes but the engine is made to last, probs one of the most reliable sports cars ever made
lol
its made to last but many owners just fucking abuse that thing too
fair
thats the point i try to make
i get it ye
and Mr2 is not the toyota engine you see on dailies where YOU CAN abuse it
mr2 is still a bit more fragile
I abuse my fiesta on a daily basis
actually it kinda is
its not the turbo
Cuz 1.4 TDCi is bulletproof
its the regular 3s ge wich was on the camry i believe aswell and celica
Same as my mitsubishi with that 6g72 engine
altezza nvm
yes but you dont see that in sports cars, right? Not deep into the fiesta story trivia
if i wanted i can also abuse my mothers corolla , and itd still last, thats not really the point here though
milage also plays down to transmission
Yep
ye as said ill have to see in person, if it got taken care of then its fine
trans is also fine he did flush it a while back
def let yourself show them papers, but i think you know what ur doing so i dont wanna act as if im smarter
and for all the worn down rubber bushings ill replace with polyurethane anyways
As long as healthy body and smoothly working engine then it's a steal
yup
it does have abit of rust but its not like dead dead yet
If it's not a sieve then it's fine
thats nothing
able to sand it down and properly fix it
so good stuff
ill do all the small parts on it and then wrap it
will look fire
in midnight purple
That's fine
but man with the big spoiler and a lip mr2s can look sooo stupidly good
its lazy eyes
dont know yet if i like that but ill probs make a setting so it has both
Lazy eyes look so good on sportier bodies
fr
Sad that Mitsubishi sigma is so forgotten in the car community
Almost no mods for it
Sigma in a sigma
fr
It's either a homo relationship or a guy in a mitsubishi sigma
lmfao
3 packages arrive today
Speakers for the front, new cluster, and brake pads as the old ones are close to bare metal
there is another mr
but its rusty from underneeth
and i doubt ill be able to talk hin dow nanywhere near 6k
The rust ain't that bad
im really a sucker for rust
get ur homies to give him 4k offers, and sweep in with ur 6k π
i do everything myself exept bodywork because i dont want it rusting for shit
and for that ill have to let it be done profesionally i recon
lmao true
Just find a not rusty even not running one then
Cheaper to rebuild the engine anew than to do bodywork professionally
See posts, photos and more on Facebook.
Here's one in poland
For close to 6k
Drives and works fine but guy doesn't have time to finish it
problem is it needs passed tΓΌv so i can have it registered and parked on the street every now and then because my garage is taken sometimes
Oh
yup
and if im honest the first one i managed to talk down to 6.2k seems better to me
the black one was standing for 8 years before it got revived
Just get one and start working you'll find small defects anyway on any car once you start working on it
yup
Like on that Mitsubishi I found so many imperfections on the paint that I'm thinking what to do
Either sand paper till smooth, paint, clear coat, polish or sand paper till smooth, clear coat, wrap
wrap sounds good
Ye my brother-in-law works in a shop that specialises in wraps
They wrap police cars etc. They wrapped some cars for polish YouTubers as well
oh thats good
And my childhood friend wraps cars with his dad as a side hustle so I'd rather go to them
It had K&N air filter
Sigma car moment
A good sign ngl
what the sigma
Another common W for the sigma car
Anyway I oiled up the filter (put too much on it so the excess is just getting out onto paper towels)
what the sigma
Rear brakes that are responsible only for the handbrake
you planning to replace them?
or change the function so they will also "function"
Well ye but later as I can't get them today
Rear brakes are "hybrid" because drum brakes are better for the handbrake
Alternator gave up after I returned home from a D&D weekend (almost 1k miles)
Currently sitting next to my garage and waiting for new one

Not a W from the sigma car
At least broke at home
atleast it didnt strand you

sigma car
sigma sigma car sigma car sigma car
I just wanna play with you 'cause you're my favorite car
Sigma car
yes
What the sigma is going on
I dream about the sigma car
67
SIX SEVENNN

what the sigma
i bet he's tired of the sigma jokes
nah those jokes are pretty sigma
true true

i haven't even looked at the pictires

kinda looks like that maibatsu vincent from gta iv
Anyways when slammed?
That's literally a galant
same shit different poop
ayri
Never altho seems like it wants to do it by itself as one side is lower than the other
sigma
i say help it
sigma stance
skibidi toilet rizz w
stanced sigma car
I say parts don't exist
so cut the springs
or just remove em
that's what we do to our volvos in sweden
cuz coilovers wont fit without cutting and welding lol
It's not a shitbox
GG @ripe turret, you just advanced to level 19! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!

there gotta be lowering springs tho
or some other springs that could fit
Only springs available are in Japan
But Volvo S40 rear suspension looks like it fits and front seems to fit from V40 Volvo or smth
no its alpha sigma
sigma car
Clutch isn't clutching anymore
Wasn't the alternator but the clutch
Now do I DIY it in my driveway (Winter, no experience) or tow it to the shop for a clutch change
Noooo the sigma car is in trouble
welp
if there's parts for it, a shop shouldn't charge too much for it
It should be a fairly easy job for them if it's a traditional rwd car
You can do it yourself but without a lift and transmission jack, it can be hell
and all the things inside there gotta be tourqed right and so on and so on
Replace the rear engine seal while your at it
it's fwd
a shop nearby said that if everything goes well they'll charge like 200-250$
that's not bad at all
i was expecting 400-500
it's around the same as all the parts for the change
can't find the clutch mounting screws tho
meh reuse the old ones and cross ur fingers
idk if the screws are the same as any other or some specific shit
from all i could find there's just one screw like that
so a 10mm (most likely) bolt that's like 15mm long
you dont need specific mitsubishi bolts tho
as long as it isnt some special stretch bolt
I mean that's the photo of the OEM part
oh alright
as long as its standard thread, finding those shouldnt be hard
oooh its only partly threaded
idk if that matters
it's a clutch cover mounting bolt from what i understand
alright
Sigma car I love the sigma car
what the sigma
Sigma
smegma
Oh hell no
Happy Christmas sigma car
How
Decoration*
In the mouth
Oh
smegma
Smexy smegma
It's not a mitsubishi smegma
Anyway I think I'll go to the dark side and lower it later on

Sigma sigma car
sigma got low low low low low low
the sigma jokes just never ends
Well that's why clutch wasn't clutching
Needs new power steering fluid (atf in this case) ordered some ravenol dexron iii h so should be good after I change it
Put smegma in

Got the battery out to swap with my daily and while at it decided to clean a bit and found some rust which signals that whole engine bay needs to be stripped and repainted
feed it ravioli
Man now you reminded me that I haven't had ravioli even once or I just forgot about that
Crazy admission
sigma
@ripe turret please update us on the sigma sigma car
Drove a bit with friends through snowy back roads and tbh that's it except doing cables
what the sigma
It's cold under a blanket made of snow
Why the fuck would you post that in the sigma sigma car channel
???
Sorry
So yeah cleaned it and wheels actually look decent now
Also some surface rust that started appearing that'll be fixed when spring comes around
Revving it while the engine is still making white smoke because it's cold damages it due to lack of lubrication.
its a sigma car
he doesnt care
Seriously
yes
lol
he isnt even revving that high + its not while driving so its fine
okay I'll just stop pestering you but I will say that is way above 2,000 RPM
meh not throwing it into redline so its fine
it's cold
Sigma car doesnβt bother itself with anything
It was after a long drive so the engine was already warm AF and it makes that white smoke every time I rev it when it cold cus of basic combustion byproduct called water vapor
Good to know.
Quick update.
Managed to identify my wheels, they're Wolfrace Asia-Tec Kendo Silver
Pretty sigma wheels
Wheels are sigma but what isn't sigma is how fast wheel arches gained colour
In all seriousness, it is almost objectively because you live in a snowy area that salts their roads.
Yeah this winter was really bad snow wise
Well snow is still here that fell down in November/December
Anyway I took yesterday the Sigma for a quick drive to get some headlight bulbs for my daily and talked 20 minutes with the guy that has a parts shop locally about the sigma and cars in general
He couldn't believe that springs are so hard to find
sigma car
holy smegma
Took just two photos after a trip for some parts from a US diamante (part out car), and I got quite a deal on them.
Got:
- front bumper (sedan version)
- headlights (spares or SMTH idk)
- one taillight as the other was broken
- one front indicator as the other was from some other spec and in bad shape
- interior door cart lights (greyish plastic covers that'll look nicer than my clear and red ones)
- a windshield vent plastic (mine is broken in a few places)
And I think that's all the important parts I got for 95$ + 80$ in fuel for the road trip + 20$ food and red bull for me and my friend
Was a really nice drive as the weather was really good
Sigma sigma car sigma car sigma car
dang bro, looking good!
I feel like my phone can't capture how good it looks at night
Will look better when I clean, paint match and replace bumper and mirror covers
im excited to see the final result
Will be ordering new coilovers probably in a few days but need to be more sure about how they'll fit
holy smegma
ayri
I just bought this used radio for $70 which I think is a good deal (new goes for over $200)
Sigma
D2 Racing coilovers for 3000 GT ordered
Will check if they fit and if they do it'll be very nice

Oh my god sigma sigma car
GG @crimson cosmos, you just advanced to level 1! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
Okay, the coilovers are finished, alignment done, brakes bleed. Now the car finally handles perfectly cornering is smooth and it doesn't want to spin out when clutch dumping

Now just:
- engine mounts
- AC and whole heating/AC system check as it likes to get stuck
- surface rust repairs
- paint corrections or a whole car respray
- change the bumper (maybe)
- wrap the interior trim in suede instead of the fake carbon that's on it rn
- change orange/yellow interior backlights to soft white to match the radio and freshen up the interior
- clean it inside
- and that's it until I have enough money to dump into putting a turbo on it or swapping to the whole engine with twin turbo setup from 3000gt
Sigma sigma sigma
smegma
sigma sigma sigma carrrrr
Sitting good
holy smegma
