Hello!
I have a 1997 Lexus Sc300 and im trying to make the exterior look better. The main thing im stuggling with is the windshield, water spots, scratches, marks from the wipers, etc.
Ive tried basically everything I can think of, polishing, excessive cleaning, clay bar. Just looking for new ideas to attempt. Not sure if the windshield has ever been replaced and ive only had the car for a few months and being 28 years old the service history isnt super detailed

Must be tied to roles, posting pictures below
Waterspots dont pop up that well in pictures but that shows the scratches, specs, etc im dealing with
Did you feel it to see if some of it could be from the inside? Does it look like there was tint done to it in the past?
I would try re-claying it with a harsh clay to remove any other contaminants and see if you could use a razor blade to slide any other stuff out
I made sure to clean the inside aswell and saw no streaks from contaminates afterwards. Ill try the razor blade and harsher clay as the bar I got was rated at a "medium"
Yeah, harsh clay bar first. Then maybe hot water with a razor blade after
I get the razor blade but isnt hot water a bit risky with glass? Especially if the whole piece isnt heated up evenly?
