So basically my hood accidentally slammed closed shut. I opened it again to check if it’s ok and it opened fine but now it won’t close all the way. I looked at the mechanism latch and everything is the same and it’s not missing parts. So why is it not closing?

I'm really stupid so following my advice may be extra stupid

But I would pray then slam it once again

Yeah it might just need slammed, unless something broke loose it shouldn't have changed like that

can you post a pic of the latch mechanism? You should be able to actuate it with a screwdriver acting as the "loop" part of the hood, and watch the mechanism work as you do so.

Ah, ok so if the latch works correctly, wondering if an adjustment pin got knocked loose. If I’m seeing correctly, you close the hood but it doesn’t fully latch closed in the lowest position, correct?

When you have the hood open, are there any “feet” near the leading edge of the hood, on the bottom? Should be rubber pads on the end of it to make sure it seats correctly
