You put your right foot in
Now you take your left foot out
And do a fat burnout

I’m struggling with getting started smoothly without jerking I’ll let out the clutch slowly with a little gas but I’ll unconsciously let off the gas and it makes the car jerk
Try and get rolling just by slowly letting the clutch go
Once you can comfortably do that, try to apply throttle when taking off
You really only need throttle to get going faster, so what you really need is to get confident with your clutch use to be able to focus more on throttle afterwards
And as far as the jerking goes, this is just a result of the amount of torque the car produces in first gear. Even a little bit of gas gives you loads of torque, because it has to get the car moving, and letting go of the gas pedal just instantly takes that torque away, hence the car jerks. That means you're basically halfway there mate!
