99 BMW 540i 4.4L v8 mated with a 6 speed manual transmission. Clutch was replaced about 3k ago along with throw out bearing and slave cylinder. Car has been a really fun daily driver, has served me well. I replaced the notorious exploding clutch fan with an electric from Mishimoto. Car runs very good, sounds great, and is a blast to drive. Would make a good daily or weekend fun car. Message me with any questions, open to reasonable offers.

Mercedes e class description

Runs and drives fine, sounds great. Just needs suspension, will drive good other than that great daily new brakes all around, radio, seats, windows, heat, seat heaters remote window/trunk opener.

Only the 2.7 hates its turbos a lot of ppl throw rs 6 turbos on to fix it

The most fun i’ve had with any of my cars was a volvo s60 2.4 t5 manual with 320+ hp just by tuning it on a dyno

You can look at a s60r/v70r decent to work on you get huge brembo’s all around and adjustable suspension

Basically baby rs3, 5 cylinder awd turbo machines

The R has 300 from factory but its bored out a bit so the cylinder walls crack but you can fix that easy with some shims then you can push the stock block to +- 500

Better question to ask your self is what do you want out of a project?

Exactly the above. If an engine swap project is wanted, the RX8 is a great choice. The two BMWs, while the e39 has high mileage, both have the same concern: they’re old enough that regardless of mileage the plastic and rubber components are going to be at or near end of life. Meaning that either car would need an overhaul before a hope of being reliable. Think cooling system overhaul plus all the belts, hoses, suspension bushings, etc. They can actually be great learning experiences for someone to tackle each of those systems one by one. The other two German cars are likely in the same boat, the Audi will be the most difficult to work on, the Benz will just be a snooze fest
