Wow that very odd đ, I'm sure a mechanic in the server will help figure it out
Or atleast narrow down what it is
alright thank you
Do people answer these or should I ping them?

2011 Camaro RS Clunk when going over bumps
When they aren't actively being answered it means people are confused lmao
I'd maybe get a cheap automotive stethoscope off Amazon to see where the clonk is from
I think a bushing is worn out, so there's metal on metal play
Wiggle all the joints individually
Get front end of the car in the air, supported by jackstands. Put a jack under the LCA of the side making noise, and lift it until the wheel is approximately ride height. Grab wheel at noon and six, rock it and see if any play. Same test at 3 and 9. Which direction are you seeing and hearing any play?
I got the stethoscope I just couldnât track the noise because itâs almost like itâs coming from more towards the middle front of the car but itâs so hard to tell I did wiggle anything and everything seemed solid
In one of the vids I did that. 3 and 9 the tire has a good amount of play
Probably this then, even if it doesn't sound like it
Unless it's something dumb like engine mounts and the engine is just bouncing around lmao
Right! Scope out the outer tie rod end. In your videos I see the inner (it has the accordion style boot over it) although I donât see any of the outer. First suspect for play like that and can account for the noise
I jacked up the car again
What should I be looking for?
Here is an outer representation of how much play the tire has
Here is from the inside
Up and down? Doesn't look good lol
Thatâs side to side
Sorry I mean get a vid of it up and down
Either way, I'm betting it's a bushing/joint
Up and down no movement or noise
This is where I suspect the play is - while a helper wiggled the wheel, youâre trying to determine if the joint moves âwithâ the motion of the wheel assembly or if thereâs play between this joint and the point where it connects to the wheel assembly. Itâs tough to tell from the video for sure. You can compare to the other side as a reference.
Thank you. I will jack it up again and get back to you
Is that a rubber bushing? Now that I look at it it does look worn out
That is your connection made from the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle
Looks completely shot in this picture. Needs to be replaced.
Word of advice, when your by your self, trying to diagnose suspension sounds, try this.
Grab a can of WD40 or an equivalent and spray ONE suspected area. Move and shake the car as you did before,l. If the sound goes away, you found your problem area.
If it does not, keep repeating this process until it goes away. Pay attention to split bushings/boots, cracked parts like springs, trailing arms etc
And take a peek at the picture, the silver stud goes up vertically through an eye on the wheel knuckle, so itâs not just a bushing but this is a connecting joint. The rubber piece is a boot that keeps lubricants in the joint and dust/dirt/contaminants out of the joint. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/chevrolet,2011,camaro,3.6l+v6,1446663,steering,tie+rod+end,7428
