Similar chart here with links to the pinpoint tests. https://charm.li/Ford/1989/F 150 4WD Pickup L6-300 4.9L/Repair and Diagnosis/A L L Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC )/Testing and Inspection/Manufacturer Code Charts/ very strange though. Double check with a friend to count the flashes again, and see if the codes come up the same as you initially observed.

Shameless copypasta: Each set of flashes represents a number.
There will be a brief pause between the digits of the code.
For example, if the check engine light flashes three times, pauses, and then flashes four times, that represents the code “34.”
There will be a longer pause between different codes.

Well that's the thing. It's a digital code reader. It physically shows 32 and 67 as normal numbers lmao

None of that flashing shit, which I know most ODB1 readers do have

That’s weird indeed. Just for kicks, try the flashing method?

Hah…. There goes my theory about a difference in transcoding by an aftermarket reader. In this case may as well troubleshoot the error codes that did come up to see what you find

I think it's a water pump issue
