High pitched sound coming from under the car, can be heard more clear from the backseat area of the car. Constant noice that DOESN’T change during steering, acceleration or breaking.

That is your fuel pump.
For safety it only runs when the engine is on so you usually don’t notice it. But you can sometimes hear it prime when the engine is off.

a friend of mine told me it could be the alternator

No. I think it sounds normal. A bad alternator would either throw error codes or be loud upfront.

Good. Then it’s not a new ”issue”. Probably made that noise when you bought it but you did not notice. I would not worry about it. If it’s coming from underneath the rear seats it’s definitely a fuel pump making the noise. If there is an issue it’s not that expensive to fix.
