Got you fam. The answers don’t really change, except now we add warped rotors to the mix. That won’t be warranty work but any shop can do a brake job. That will not be related to the tire noise you were hearing before. My vote is, the path is to have the dealer do a set of tires + a four wheel alignment (you can have them get you something other than the Pirelli since the life on yours was awful) but that way, if it doesn’t fix the humming, they can’t blame the tires.

Id have to pay for alignment and all that it’s not warranty. Which is why I almost dont trust the dealership

I wouldn’t see why they wouldn’t replace the rotors. Is this car not still covered under warranty?

I just had a similar issue with my 2024 Subaru Ascent. Warped rotors was the cause and they replaced the Rotors under warranty.

Yeah but i took it in and told them about “possible warped rotor” and how the steering wheel shake yk? And they said they would look at it so they did and they said nothing was wrong with the rotors they say it’s the “tires”

Yet when I hit the brakes my steering wheel vribrates/shakes a little

I already have an appointment with a tire place cause I believe the warped rotors but I find it super hard to believe all of my tires have “cupping” which is apparently making that howling noise according to the dealership. So I’m getting a 2nd opinion

From what I’ve seen on the internet if you look up “Kia k5 2023 rotor issues” or like “tire issues” it’s apparently common problems for both

the calipers will need to be changed as well, but thats modding the vehicle so i wouldn’t recommend it

If you have the shop mess with the brakes Kia will never touch them afterwards within warranty

And the weird thing was I don’t even think they fucking looked at it when I took it there because I never told them where my wheel nut lock was in my car and I can track my car with the Kia connect app and they had it for 2 days and it shows they never even drove it anywhere

I love my car I really do I just hate the Kia dealership. I actually didn’t buy my car from that dealership I drove 3 hours away and got it at a diff dealership with no Covid markups

And getting new tires ain’t gonna void the warranty if say that’s the only issue and nothing is wrong with the rotors

I tried to record a video of the steering shaking but it was hard to do

And when I took it I was like “I have a video if you wanna listen to it” they were like “nah we don’t need that”

I genuinely can’t say that I’d expect rotors to be covered under warranty unless they warped in like 5000 miles. They’re a wear and tear item. But then again, I’ve never tried.
