#Mercedes-Benz 1998 C230, m104 3.2 swap

Correct me if I'm wrong, but If I go with m113, it would be heavier and I would also need to get some fab work done for exhaust routing. M104 3.2 is pretty much my best option that I can find that is realistic for me to aquire when it comes to my goals for this project
GG @still atlas, you just advanced to level 1! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
Also I'm autistic, so I think inline engines are cooler
Tomorrow, I will start going through crunching numbers and seeing what I'm going to be dealing with
Iirc the m104 is heavier than the M113 because the M113 has an aluminum block. If you get the cats from a w208 clk430 you need any fabrication. However you'd need to swap in the electronics from a donor car
I will take this into consideration, for my situation, it's easier to get my hands on a m104. If it's worth it and I do enough research, I will consider finding one.
M104 is cool too👍
Yeah I'm having a tough time deciding now lol, both seem like a great option
M113 is nice, because parts are cheap and there's allot of stuff for it.
They are also fairly easy to work on
Ok so far I'm seeing m104 is easiest for bolt in swap, and is my cheapest option for upgrades.
The m113 is quite attractive but also has its cons, I won't really have much of a low end issue with the m113, far more torque, yes the engine is easier to come by and parts are cheap. But it's big, and alot of fuel, I'm already planning on upgrading the fuel system so that adds on alot. Bigger turbo, manifolds cost more.
I mean overall, both are good options, but as things are, it'll cost around two grand more or more than the m104
I'm not trying to cheap out in my build but I gotta eat
Fair enough, then I'd go with the 104
M113 is still a good idea though, I mean if I ever want to do another swap, I might consider it, but if I'm doing a v8 swap, I might just get an ls
I got a ride in a M113 Kompressor W203 yesterday. Shit pulls hard
Oh cool dude
Honestly that's why it scares me lkl
I've never driven a car above 250hp, the idea of anything above 400 sounds crazy to me
I feel like I would let all my hard work go to waste and crash the damn thing
You Def need some getting used to
Refined my plan and parts list
