#Lexus is250 auto stalling
7 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hey, Lexus tech here. This often happens due failing fuel pressure sensor. It's on the end of one of fuel rails. Replaced mine twice (IS350) and many for customers.
It doesn't show any fault codes for the sensor
Torque converter (dependent on stall scenario), likely only to be this if it happens when you come to a stop as it should 'disengage the clutchpack'.
Fuelling system. Sensors, pumps, filters, lines.
Battery depletion overnight. Maybe its FUBAR and leaving it overnight is draining it to the extent where it has enough power to start the car but not keep it running until the altenator starts delivering power from engine?
Idle air control valve/vaccum line - controls airflow at idle, if it's faulty may cause car to stall, doesn't sound like this though because you said it only happens once.
It will not show codes for it. Sensor shorts 5 volts line for moment (engine ecu uses same line for itself and for trouble code storing) and engine stalls.
I doubt battery, doubt alt, but I trust @atomic quail with my life because he's Lexus tech
