i want to do a resonator delete with an x/h pipe on my mustang, but unfortunately i live in california so theres a bunch of dumb "legal" issues with that (mainly smog checks due to CARB compliance). if anyone who lives in california who has an x/h pipe has any input on how strict they are with it or any advice, that'd be greatly appreciated. thanks

Now I dont live in Cali but I dont see how a H or X pipe would do anything, the resonator though certainly will be illegal
2 laws impact you: sound, and emissions. Emissions is easy, leave the stock emissions equipment in place, the catalytic converters. So an axle back or cat back exhaust will not have any impact on your tailpipe test and you’ll be golden. Bonus points if you buy from a vendor that notes, in writing, their product is CARB legal. Sound is a little more complex as I recognize the Ref and the rules around how it is enforced is pretty shitty. That said, it just means, don’t get one that’s obnoxiously loud, and don’t make yourself a target by revving it all the time. Good luck!
i appreciate it, thanks for the info
will look into that and hopefully be able to get my setup running
Simple solution, leave California
