Seen this for sale on a road I was on, has 125k miles, Runs and drives, arizona car that’s never seen salt. New transmission 40k miles ago which are all freeway miles as the owner bought the car traveling for work. Only damage on the body is near the mirror, no frame rust (this is wisconsin so this is huge.) Wants $1000.

Rear tires also new less than 50 miles ago. This would likely just be a project for me unless my daily shit out.
interior looks like a tornado went through it but shouldn’t be too expensive with junkyard parts to fix
that’s the cobra motor so i imagine it’d have some aftermarket support
That interior is rough but if it runs go for it
....also is that duct tape for the price???
Wait till you do an oil change 😂 the filter does some gymnastics to get out. If this is gonna be your project, sort the suspension (if it is on coils already you’re fine, if it still has air struts you should take out the dryer and dry it, and if it sags overnight when parked there’s a leak so you want to address it either by fixing the leak or converting to coils). Figure out what the headlight situation is (they had a unique HID bulb from factory but when bulb was discontinued there was a factory retrofit kit to halogen bulbs). Service the trans and do a JMod to it. There are some options for fatter rear sway bar and dual piston brake upgrades, and Kooks used to make long tube headers for these.
Oh that’s even an LSC. True dual exhaust and the 3.27 rear end instead of the 3.07.
Will note it’s an open diff but we can’t have it all haha
The LSC seats were perforated and base were not, not sure if that matters to you when you hunt for scrapyard seats
Yes, and the owner just messaged me and said the battery is dead so he had to jump it, so he’ll knock off $200 for me to buy a battery.
Oh fuck that’s a win!
Should be less than 1k
Why’s that?
I see these going for 3k easy on marketplace, and that’s wisconsin owned vehicles. It being arizona no salt vehicle here in the rust belt could easily make it 4, just curious why you think less than 1
jeez dude 1,000 is way below market for basically any running car, even with high miles.
I’d offer 700
Seller already came down to 800
$800 is easily worth it
…
Is it yours now?
Do a burnout
One other thing - the exterior door handles on these cars are weaker than Mitsubishi’s US market share in 2025. Get in the habit of pulling on the handle just enough to unlatch the door, and then grab the edge of the door to open it.
I notice that.. Lol, yes it’s mine now. o burnouts yet. need a new drivers seat asap. Hard to find for sure
Good deal! Feel free to ask questions as you work on it, I’ve had three of these. Happy to help keep another one on the road!
