I'm thinking of getting a square tire and wheel setup for my c5 z06.

Current sizes:
Front
Wheel: 17x9.5 ET 54mm
Tire: 275/40R17

Back
Wheel: 18x10.5 ET 58mm
Tire: 295/35R18

Intended sizes
Front
Wheel: 18x10.5 ET 58mm
Tire: 295/35R18

Back (same size)
Wheel: 18x10.5 ET 58mm
Tire: 295/35R18

I have two main concerns about this change:

Handling?
I assume this will help the car be more nimble but steering might be heavier and straight line stability might decrease. If anyone has run a square set up on their corvettes, let me know how the driving feel changes.

Fitment?
Will this rub in the wheel well? There is also a brake cooling duct towards the front edge of the wheel and there is about an inch (2.54cm) of clearance right now. I wonder if this will rub too. Attached is a fitment comparison.

If there is anything else I should know about this fitment please tell me.

My goal with the car is to make it more nimble around corners so I can whip around red lights at 40 mph.

Oh hey I actually know a bit about this since I have C5Z wheels on my G8

So the 18x10.5 wheel will not rub on the brake duct, and depending on the tire you choose, may poke out of the fender slightly.

285/35-18's up front and 305/35-18's out back on this car.
