Hi,
I am thinking of buying this car, to either make it a project car or daily it. It has a tick in the engine. All the information is below;
“Background & Condition of the Car
I brought this Legacy B4 RSK with me when I moved back to the Netherlands. Before I wanted to register the vehicle with the RDW, I decided to have the engine overhauled to bring it into top condition and prepare it for a power upgrade.
-Engine overhaul professionally performed (invoices available)
- New parts and Exedy Stage 1 clutch kit installed
- Engine run in for 1500 km after overhaul
When the car was ready, I didn't have time to take it to the RDW myself. That's why I offered it to FDT Sportscars B.V., who has experience with import registrations. Unfortunately, a knock occurred in the engine during the drive to FDT.
FDT further prepared the car for RDW registration, but we decided together to have the engine repaired first before offering it to the RDW. Since I no longer have time for this due to other priorities, I am now selling it as a project car.

I contacted the owner and got two video’s of the tick in the engine. Anyone that can tell me what is wrong with it? And if its worth buying and repairing myself?
One video is from the inside, where you can clearly hear the problem. But the one on the outside not so much…
