does it change with rpm? is it tied to something like the ac being on?
I believe when the RPMs do go up, the ticking gets higher. I have to go see at it again.
When I cold start it and rpms jump from 0 to 2, the ticking gets loud and fast but as it settles, the ticking settles as well.
Only is heard sometimes tho
As for the AC being on, I barely drive this thing either AC on. And in this video, the AC was off
AFM (lifter) finally died it seems, or the exhaust manifold cracked
How's your oil pressure at idle?
Here it is while revving
Car idles good, runs good, takes a good couple of pulls everyday
@deft sand after some research it’s 100% the lifter. Any tips or ideas on what to do next😭🔫
Cam, lifters and tune, but if you don't have a lot replace the lifter and hope the cam is ok
Any idea how much does it cost parts and labor included? Just the lifters and the whole thing?
No clue but lifters are pretty easy to replace, ask a performance shop near you
Thanks man, I believe the lifters are still in early stages of failure, what if go with just disabling it with that device or a tune? The car thankfully runs perfectly fine for now
Too late for that
Might have to part ways with it then, thanks for the help
Think you can pull a cylinder head?
Like 24 bolts
Torque wrench
Ratchet
2 sockets
head gasket
Whichever lifter you fucked up replacement
I have absolutely zero mechanical skills on cars, apart from some small easy stuff
