BMW f31 320d x drive buying guide

I’m thinking about buying an 2013 320d (184 hp).

The car is in overall great condition, fresh tüv, full service history and 2 previous owners.

The only downside is that it has roughly 470.000 km on it.
It has zero issues currently, tons of stuff has already been replaced.
He’s asking for 6000€

I average around 3000 km monthly and would use it for daily purposes

Good shot or nah?

I'd try get the price as low as u can

#

but these cars are essentially very good- very durable engines, nice interiors and surprisingly fast

#

good fuel economy too

#

I'd go for it but u would be risking high repair bills for it and it's obviously more likely to break down as it has high miles

i’ve heard all bmws always always need service. my co workers timing chain went out at 90k miles while my 210k mile car is still going on original timing chain for comparison

i’d i’ve just always heard that bmws are
a) ALWAYS needing service
b) expensive labor
c) not fun to deal with

@outer shoal you honestly will be fine, all I have to say about the N47 engine is always have spare change to have the timing chain done but If it doesn't have this rattle sound or the blue smoke of death. You are buying a very well looked after 320d

#

I've owned the N47 engine so honestly if you don't have this blue smoke or the engine is relatively more quiet on start up than mine I say buy it

#

the n47 is a engine that's meant to be bought with high mileage
