sigh help,

2005 honda CR-V I-VTec SE Sport petrol

so my honda has just completed it's yearly checkup without much hassle. but since then, ive had an on//off check engine light.

  • it stays on for day or two and goes off about the same
  • unscrewing and rescrewing oil cap worked twice for period but it came back
  • topped oil and appears fine
  • overall driving is absolutely fine, handles the same, sounds the same, idle hasn't changed, gears are smooth and easy, no sound when speeding up, brakes are good, sit well on the road, goes over speed bumps fine. no performance issue
  • it did have tire going flat but was sorted
  • one theory was speed bumps//holes in the road jiggling something but this doesn't appear the case
  • one theory was it overheating as it was going off after having bonnet up for bit fiddling with caps ((we've had some usually hot days here for context)), but light can come on overnight when driving
  • fuel consumption hasn't changed
  • no strange smells
  • yearly checkup looked at its emissions and around air flow, considering it passed all these i wouldn't have thought the issue is here?
  • light doesn't flicker, haven't been able to figure out a pattern with it

ultimately need to return to the garage but trying to figure out what it could be before going as dont have lot of $$ rn. only times ive experienced this before in any vehicle there has been a change in the car which this hasn't.

video of engine sound can be provided, @ me whatever details you want

Does this have an oil light? I wonder if you have fluctuating oil pressure making the CEL pop up randomly. Let’s hope that isn’t the case.

okay well the light vanished for ages, finally came back got it codes,

P0325 - Knock sensor 1
P1298 - Manufacturer control , so ELD

gave quick test of the entire box, light went off after that but will get both replaced. wondering if during the service they just nocked something thats what sent all this off but oh well i guess. would explain why ive felt nothing in the drive itself
