You are referring to one of the head bolts, correct?
Yes
GG @astral nova, you just advanced to level 1! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
I can drill them out but I trying to get this done quicker
Its an unfortunate situation I have found myself in only 2 times, so lets hope others with more than this can step in (I was flailing, at best).
Both times, success was with screw extractors, heat and penetrating oil (accompanied by a lot of cursing). Note that both times, I was not dealing with any critical part like head bolts.
In my opinion, you are on the right track. Upgrade your drill bits, as head bolts are a pretty high carbon steel.
My fingers are crossed that others have better advice for you.
Ok thank you
Exactly like Guy said, extractors will help. Heat will be your best friend with extractors.
I’ve had no success with extractors myself, but I am also unskilled with using heat for these scenarios. That’s your best bet, heat and patience is key (don’t be like me)
