So far hes gutted it, painted some stuff, and chopped the exhaust off. The last photo is my contribution to the project.

O it's completely mental, and not in a good way, of the 3 engine options for the gen1 cruze's his happens to be the one with absolutely 0 aftermarket support, anything passed a exhaust and CAI requires a custom ECU as nobody tunes them

ZZP made 540 on it. Then sheared the flywheel bolts. They built out the motor and then made 620+.

Absolutley. Im hoping to make 300 on mine very very conservatively. Shooting for 30mpg and 300HP in the same tune.

That sounds more than doable, one of their cars they were getting something like 32mpg on e85, so on 91/93 you should be able to at least match that

When I finally get a cruze hatch my goal is 330-350 without any kind of spray, but I do intend on fitting watermeth as well, so a lil extra kick when needed plus clean the valves

On E85, And some spray, Id certainly expect to break 400.

E85 isnt readily available where I live, there 1 gas station off the top of my head that carrys it, getting e0 is far far easier here.....now i can get 110 pretty easy.....🙃

This is the same engine as Opel Astra here in Europe. Idk, they aren't commonly tuned. They might be able to handle some boost, but on this car especially, it isn't worth it.

Bruh, these cars here aren't sold with the 1.4, I think, so I assumed it would be a complicated swap.

Yea I'm US, and im wrong the Turbo Diesel for these is 2.0, I was thinking of the gen2, those get a 1.6TD instead of the 2.0TD

The issue with the 2.0TD here is it was a very oddball engine option, so while there IS aftermarket and tuning for it, replacement parts are a pain to get

Nearly everything outside of the US comes standard with a diesel engine I've noticed

Alot of US cars just never got diesel options, now thanks to the VW diesel gate crap in the US only full-size trucks and suvs are allowed to have diesel engines despite nearly every manufacturer offering excellent diesel options in their cars
