I took my car in the other day for an oil change for the first time. My invoice came with a few of suggestions with things the shop recommended me to fix. Was wondering if there is anything I should be concerned about.
4 TIRES ARE OVER 5 YEARS OLD
ALIGNMENT TIRE WEAR
LEFT FRONT DRIVE AXLE ( LEAKING)
LOWER BALL JOINTS (LEAKING)
FRONT SWAY BAR LINKS ( LEAKING)
REAR STRUTS LEAKING
BRAKE FLUID TESTED AND FAILED
POWER STEERING HOSE LEAKING

What do they mean by your ball joints and sway bar links are leaking?
I'm guessing from the list that this car has a lot of dry rot. Rubber boots are likely gone and therefore so is the grease. Same for CV boot, leaking hoses and bad tires.
@marsh waveSafety wise, address the tires, alignment and struts first.
Flush the brake fluid, and fix the leaking PS hose next.
Leaking ball joints and sway bar do not mean they are shot at the moment but they will be in short order. If any have play in them then their gig is up, and getting an alignment may not be possible.
The drive axle comment has two possibilities, my first assumption is the rubber boot covering the CV joint is shot (similar to the ball joint boots cracking and leaking)... Or it could be the seal where the axle enters the transmission.
You can buy generic boot replacements but I find it easiest to just replace the whole shaft with a re-manufactured one.
All of the above 👍
This is going to sound bad, but in my experience brake fluid continues to be brake fluid even when it's bad, it works just not the same as it used to
I had a 1992 on the original fluid that I was scared to change, go with clever old guys list
