Hi again, since this is my first car im always coming across stuff thats new to me and like to get support from yall.

My is250s got a throttle controller setup with some other modifications like exhausts, intake and what not. Im not sure what the previous owner modified on the car other than what I can see.

Cutting to the chase, the throttle controller is set to U5 and I seem to frequently hit the rev limiter whenever im driving. Majority of the time im hitting the rev limiter without intenting to. Does the 2is have a lower rev limit or is my throttle controller set too high? And will this progressively damage my engine to the point of a fatal issue?

On the lexus forum theyve also recommended driving to the rev limiter occasionally to prevent carbon build up however im not sure if im doing it excessively.

What’s the indicated red line on your tachometer and when you bounce off the rev limiter are you hitting that red line or is there some other limit you’re hitting? I’m leaning towards the throttle controller set too aggressive, based mostly on you hitting the limiter without intending to.

6.5 is the indicated red line? Is that the rev limiter you’re bouncing off of?

I’m trying to understand your question

I rarely even hit the limiter on the highway, maybe because I don’t have a heavy foot lol. But you should definitely gun it a few times a week to loosen all the carbon buildup

Yeah ill probably put it down to a 4

That seemed to be the sweet spot while testing it today on the road
