GG @azure cradle, you just advanced to level 5! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
This is a 1963 AMC Rambler 660 build. Bagged and channeled so it lays pinchweld. has FBSS, 1/2" lines and valves at 150psi, drivetrain is stock
When i first got it, engine was locked up
pulled the head, couldnt get the engine undone. so just said forget it to find another and continued to carve up the body to get it ready to be channeled and bagged
This basically shows that I have to raise the engine and trans up 2" so they dont hit the ground. This allows the car to lay all the way down
Removing the carpet and starting to cut out the inside to allow for the powertrain to be raised up
This car is unibody but still has frame rail like structures. Because I had to cut off these "frame rails" from under the car, i installed 2x3 1/4" steel to reinforce what I was cutting away. Def overkill
removing the rear springs, getting the floor ready to be cut up
installing a cross member C channel to make up for the cross member tunnel I cut away to allow the trains and torque tube to come up into the car
getting an idea of how low the rear can go
pulling the engine
Here's a shot of the rear cut up to allow the torque tube and track bars to come up into the car when it lays out
making a new crossmember/engine mount. This allows the engine to sit on 2" tall stilts. to raise the whole powertrain up
patching back in the metal for the channel
more metal patching
parts
using a pizzabox mock bag to get the fitment ready for the bags
making bag brackets
first time on the ground
first time outside
making a bracket for the engine driven air compressor
making a bracket for the alt, as this car orginally came with a generator
Building the exhaust. It goes from the driverside, around the front, then down the passenger. When you're this low it's hard to find a way out
stole the master cylinder off my old ford ranger 🙂
modifying the seat to make way for the channel
Time for switches and wires
painted the wheels. First time around I went with red steelies cause I'm poor
Building a surfboard to be mounted to the back
carving it and installing a decal
test fitting
staining and building a brackety
getting it pinstriped
door panels
making a funny sign for it. Shout out to everyone who knows where this comes from
Sleepy eye headlights and other small mods
dragging frame
Arduino remote air ride system so you can hit the switches remoteley
Getting some new wheels. have to run wheel spacers to get them to fit
night shots
If you ever come to Virginia for any car shows let me know I’d love to do some photos for you at some of the events and outside of then
Dude you gotta let me learn from you. What an incredible talent you have I aspire to be able to do this one day
now this is a sick build
I'll hit you up. We've went to the Time-n-Money show in Winchester and Attitude Check in Woodford before.
Yea man of course and thank you! I've got a few tricks on how to get what you want without spending a ton of money 🙂
Thank you!
Here's my Rambler with my '50 Chevy Styleline

Oh yeah! I’d love to go to one of those I got a banner for Attitude check at the C10 rally
Car show video i made 4 years ago. Has the Rambler in it plus some dragging at the end

Hey, I'm looking at a '63 Rambler Classic 770, and I was wondering if you know enough to be able to tell if this would be a good car or not.
$6,500
it's hard to say from only 2 pictures but from those two pictures it looks promising. Very clean and looks well kepy. but the discoloring on the carpet makes me think the cowls been leaking
How hard would that be to fix?
Not hard
This is a dope ass build. Keep it going. Love me some slammed cars
cool Classic, always love seeing modified AMC's
yo
I let my nieces boyfriend take my rambler to a trunk or treat and he wrecked it 🤦
Was able to bend the grill and hood back. But not sure on what were gonna do with the bumper yet
This fucking this is badass!
