Looks like somwthing to the rear differential mount?
So looks like it’s the differential dampener
Is it important to fix?
Isnt that a mount for the rear subframe...?
Nah apparently it’s a dampener
alrighty then
My question is, should I be worried
Without the dampener? Ive read having it doesn’t make much of a difference
if car runs, car runs.
I supposeeee
Idk what kinda difference it makes but i wouldnt be worried if teh car drives the way it does
Yea, who knows how long it’s just been sitting there
It's probably been loose for many years and you're still alive so
Surprised it never fell off, it was just sitting freely lol
exactly lol
Discovered this while doing my rotors and pads
Also discovered my driver side caliper guide pins were seized, they’re completely frozen
So I’ve have 3/4’s breaking power for who knows how long
HondaPartsNow.com offers the great deal for genuine Honda parts, 50716S9A000. Damper, RR. Differential Dynamic for $118.85. All parts are backed by the Honda's warranty.
Not sure why the link posted then I seen all the replies. At those prices on RockAuto. I would replace it.
I would fix this asap for obvious safety reasons. I’m sure that RockAuto has some cheap caliper kits. I only suggest that because the car looks pretty rusted so this may be in bad shape
Ultimately though I would do something about the rust. At least slow it down
Yeaaa that’s hard to do, I live in New England, they throw salt on the roads during winter
I hear you. I would at least hit it with a wire brush in some bad spots and coat it with a oil based coating
Something like POR15 or fluid film
What do you use to spray it?
It does come in a can and a spray as well
