#2013 Hyundai Tucson making clicking noise

Could be a click of death unfortunately. Make sure your oil level is ok and, assuming it is, time for a compression test and an oil pressure test.
Yeah, sounds like rodknock
I double checked it everything was fine.
I looked at the engine looked like the bearings were worn
When I looked into this matter it is apparently common with these engines...
I think I'm gonna have to buy a whole new engine. Is there a potential cheaper way going about thing?
You’re engine might be fucked
Happened to my moms car too, gone through 2 engines iirc
That's what I was thinking
eating metal
But like I said... Apparently common for this engine for the bearings to wear down
Take it to a dealer or sum see what they say
I looked into it said I was probably gonna have to get a whole new engine
And it sucks cause I finished paying off the car like 4 months ago
Damn
Yeah, but I think this problem is solved... Not to my liking but life goes on
Unfortunately
Even though you’re outside the warranty window, it’s worth checking what a dealer says anyways: there have been a bunch of these that got a warranty extension on account of the engine
Idk. Probably getting another car. Those engines are absolute garbage and are always a ticking time bomb.
Oh, should I go to the dealership I got the car or any dealership?
Well I mean it lasted 11 grueling years, so I say it did pretty good for the things it's been through
Well. You are putting in a used engine of unknown condition since you can't get new ones.
Well this problem is solved. The dash just lit up like a Christmas tree and the car started shaking violently and now it won't turn on
Waiting for triple A to pick it up
A Hyundai or Kia dealer
At least worth asking the question. They likely say you’re on your own but if it’s covered under the big warranty extension then it gets a replacement engine and you can then either sell it for cheap or keep driving it
There are some folks on their fourth or fifth warranty engine 😆
Well I'm gonna have to ask now. In all seriousness though that car has been through a lot and kinda sad to see it go
But thanks for the advice and help
But you could stay tuned to see if I get a new car or a new engine 👍🏻😆
Indeed I am - good luck and let us know what you find!
Well, ask at least, although yours may be one year too old: https://www.thedrive.com/guides-and-gear/how-to-tell-if-your-2011-2019-hyundai-or-kia-engine-might-fail
So it got towed to a garage and they said the car was pretty much done.
Now I'm gonna buy a new car but it might be a while. Like I said at least I have 2 other cars
Getting a new engine for the car. That's the update right now lol
New update. No good engine deals so getting a new car
I assume that means no luck on the big warranty extension from the theta2 engines?
Correct
Damn. Sorry mate. Hope the next car is enjoyable!
Thanks, it's unfortunate. That car has been through a lot and barely ever went to the garage.
